The "Cube" plays back a dome of tuned sound.

The "Cube" speaker was invented by O+A in 1990 for a large outdoor installation "Garden of Time Dreaming". They had promised to protect their gear against elements and vandals by being "more clever than theives. The result is an omnidirectional speaker impervious to weather which sends out a uniform dome of sound, and functions as street furniture. It has become a signature element in their installations for public space.
